Eddie’s Hugs is a nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing awareness, reducing stigma, and supporting those affected by mental illness. Inspired by the life of Eddie Derhak, we strive to offer connection, compassion, and hope to individuals of all ages—especially young adults—through advocacy, education, and community outreach. By encouraging simple acts of kindness, like the power of a hug, we aim to create a culture where no one struggles alone and everyone feels seen, heard, and supported. Our mission is to raise awareness, fund mental health initiatives, and help prevent suicide—one hug, one heart, one life at a time.

Mad Love Foundation - Over the course of nearly three decades, Umphrey’s McGee has always tried to do our part to make the world a better place. Through every chapter of this journey, we have been reminded of the strength of community, the power of music, and the impact we can have when we show up for one another.

We know we can’t fix everything that needs fixing, but we can do our best — together.

With that said, we are proud to launch the Umphrey’s Mad Love Foundation which will support meaningful local causes in the communities where we perform and will help the Umphrey’s family leave a positive impact wherever the music takes us.

This spring, we will roll out new ways for you to get involved and help make a difference. Stay tuned!

Onward & Upward.

Thirty-five years ago, a posse of University of Buffalo-based musician-friends got together to play music. Out of freewheeling sessions bursting withbold, genre-defying creativity and tongue-in-cheek humor, a 6-headed mon-ster named moe. emerged.Decades later, moe.’s tireless work ethic, DIY resourcefulness, infectioussongwriting, and highly-engaged fanbase—the Famoe.ly—have enabled thesextet to earn a successful career. Yet, the guys have never rested on their lau-rels as “jam band pioneers.” They average 100 shows per year, and regularlyrelease vital new music, including the band’s latest album, Circle of Giants(ATO), its 13th release.

Circle of Giants was almost all tracked when bassist/vocalist Rob Derhak’s25-year-old son died tragically, but it’s no downer. Visceral and vulnerable, the 10-collection confronts life’s challenges with grace, humor, hard-foughtwisdom, and jaw-dropping musicality. Creatively-invigorated by the additionof keyboardist Nate Wilson to the full-time lineup, moe. has created a mile-stone album while processing an unfathomable loss.

moe. is a brotherhood, featuring Derhak, Schnier, guitarist/vocalist Chuck Garvey, drummer Vinnie Amico, percussionist/vibraphonist Jim Loughlin, and keyboardist Nate Wilson. The six-piece band came up in the primordialpouch of the early jam band scene, alongside Blues Traveler, Spin Doctors,Widespread Panic, and Phish.

Lauded by American Songwriter for its “mind-bending musicality,” moe. isbeloved for its sonic adventurousness, unbridled showmanship, and its witty and insightful songwriting. NYS Music has said: “moe. has redefined what’spossible within the genre, leaving a lasting impact and challenging listenersto rethink the limits of musical expression.”

Since releasing its foundational album, Fatboy, in 1992, moe. has issued avast and varied series of now-classic records. Select studio album highlights include 1998’s Tin Cans & Car Tires; 2004’s Wormwood; 2007’s The Conch(which reached #1 on Billboard’s “Heatseekers” chart); and 2012’s critically-acclaimed What Happened To The La Las.
