Sure, the band officially formed in 2022. But the real story started back in the early 2000s when two Virginia kids were busy memorizing Brooks & Dunn riffs, Alan Jackson
choruses, and anything with a steel guitar and a fiddle solo. While mainstream radio was drifting one way, Trace Nixon and John Holden were headed the other, straight
toward the sounds that made them fall in love with country music in the first place. Nearly twenty years later, their paths finally crossed, and Gone Country was born, a
Richmond, VA-based “Neotraditional Country” band with a soft spot for 90’s country gold and a live show that feels more like a Saturday night at your favorite honky-tonk than a concert you politely watch from your seat.

The five-piece lineup (dual guitars and vocals, bass, fiddle, and drums) delivers the songs you forgot you knew every word to , from rowdy bar anthems to tear-in-your-beer
slow dances. They’ve played all over Nashville, including a CMA Awards afterparty, and bring that same big-stage confidence wherever they land.
